Temba is a jewellery collection co-created by Touran Bristow, who’s husband Adam is a rhino anti-poaching ranger. Witnessing the enormous pressure on these rhinos from poaching was devastating, and watching the dedication and courage of the teams trying to keep them safe was humbling. Temba’s rhino charm is inspired by an orphaned black rhino called Squirt who was hand raised when his mother was shot by poachers. Although she survived a bullet in her head, his mother lost her sight. While treating her, vets discovered that his mother had already survived three previous poaching attempts.
This collection is dedicated to these extraordinary creatures and to those who work so hard to protect it. Each piece is handmade in Bulawayo.
